II. General Information on Data Processing
Scope of Personal Data Processing
As a rule, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. Personal data of website users is processed only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and its content and services. The processing of our users’ personal data generally takes place only with the user’s consent. An exception applies in cases where obtaining prior consent is not possible for practical reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.
Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Data
The processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and all other applicable laws governing the processing of personal data.
The specific legal basis for data processing depends on the context and purpose for which we receive your data.
To the extent that consent is obtained from the data subject for the processing of personal data, Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis. When processing personal data necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. To the extent that the processing of personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis. If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, and the interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms of the data subject do not override the aforementioned interest, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing.
Recipients of the Data
Only those individuals or departments within Alpine One who require your data to fulfill contractual or legal obligations will have access to it. Service providers we engage (e.g., IT service providers) may also receive data for these purposes. Other recipients of your data may include those entities for which you have given us your consent to transfer data, or to which we are authorized to transfer personal data based on a balancing of interests, as there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in preventing the disclosure of your data.
Measures to Protect Your Data
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures in accordance with the state of the art to protect data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. This site uses SSL encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock icon in your browser bar.
Data Deletion and Retention Periods
Your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies. Data may also be retained if required by European or national legislation in the form of EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which the controller is subject.
III. Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files
Each time the website is accessed, the system automatically collects data and information from the accessing computer’s system. The following data is collected:

Websites from which the user’s system accessed our website
The data is stored in our system’s log files. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the user’s IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session. Log files are stored to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data helps us optimize the website and ensure the security of our IT systems.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies are stored on the user’s computer and transmitted to our site by the user. Therefore, as a user, you have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your web browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are disabled for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all of the website’s features to their full extent.

The processing of personal data serves solely to handle the contact request. In the case of contact via email, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in processing the data. Other personal data processed during the sending process serves to ensure the security of our IT systems.
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. For personal data sent via email, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended, i.e., when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively resolved.
The legal basis for processing the data transmitted when sending an email is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
If the user contacts us via email, they may object to the storage of their personal data at any time. In such a case, the conversation cannot be continued. All personal data stored in the course of the contact will be deleted in this case.
